Hancock County Road #6

Black top country road,

one lane into infinity.

Farm house

with broken windows,

stands

with a barn

leaning to the wind.

Vacant fields,

of green wasteland,

connects with gray sky

and solitude,

a brook babbles .

One vagrant,

with two canes,

journeys on,

skin tarnished

by the years.

There’s a lightning storm

in the distance,

which is the future,

for the past

is where you have been.
